The Wisdom of God

〰️

The Wisdom of God 〰️

Reflections

At the root of sin is pride, which makes pride incredibly dangerous—so much so that God Himself resists the proud. Humanity’s fall was driven by a prideful desire to be like God, a temptation prompted by Satan. Viewed from this perspective, it makes perfect sense that, in restoring mankind, God would strike at the very root of sin: pride.

To accomplish this, God chose what the world considers foolish to bring about reconciliation. Christ’s coming, His life on earth, and even His death on the cross all reflected the utmost humility. And to spread this message of reconciliation, God chose those who held no status in society so that no one could boast in themselves.

Even believing this good news and receiving salvation requires complete humility and surrender. It does not depend on miraculous signs that appeal to human senses, nor on philosophical reasoning that satisfies human logic—only a childlike faith in the gospel of the cross. If we are to remain in God’s presence, we must come fully surrendered, boasting only in the Lord and in what He has done for us.
