Wisdom from The Spirit

Reflections
In spreading and preaching the gospel, we must be careful to deemphasize our own wisdom and experiences, directing all attention to the convicting power of the Holy Spirit. When it comes to understanding the gospel—and the things of God in general—human wisdom is simply not enough. Spiritual truths can only be grasped through the Holy Spirit.
The pride of carnal reasoning stands in opposition to true spirituality. Have you ever encountered people who, in attempting to argue against the Bible, say things like, “I’ve read the entire Bible”? No matter how many times they read it cover to cover, they will never truly understand it. This is because the Word of God can only be discerned through the Holy Spirit.
For those who have not surrendered to Jesus, access to the Holy Spirit is unavailable. But for us who are saved, we have the mind of Christ. We know the mysteries, the plans, and the will of God—and that should fill us with excitement!
